Smartmotion error 36: Hall abnormal

What it means

The motor's hall (position) sensor signal is abnormal.

Likely causes

• Loose motor plug
• Hall sensor fault

Symptoms

• Code 36 on the LCD

How to fix it

1. Turn the bike off.
2. Check all plugs for loose connections (Smartmotion uses sealed marine-rated plugs – pull straight apart and push fully back together).
3. Turn the bike on again.
4. If the code stays, contact your local Smartmotion dealer.
