Smartmotion error 33: Current abnormal

What it means

The controller has seen abnormal current. Smartmotion's manual lists the code only and says to check plugs and contact your dealer.

Likely causes

• Loose connection
• Controller or motor fault

Symptoms

• Code 33 on the LCD

How to fix it

1. Turn the bike off.
2. Check all plugs for loose connections (Smartmotion uses sealed marine-rated plugs – pull straight apart and push fully back together).
3. Turn the bike on again.
4. If the code stays, contact your local Smartmotion dealer.
