What it means
A communication error between the battery and drive unit was detected, so assist is not provided.
Likely causes
- Loose or damaged cable between battery and motor
- Battery not seated properly
- Dirty contacts
Symptoms
- No assist
- E020 shown
How to fix it
- Turn the system off.
- Remove and refit the battery so it clicks fully into place.
- Check any visible cable between the drive unit and battery is connected.
- If it continues, contact your place of purchase.
