Generic displays error 03_info: Motor hall sensor fault

What it means

The controller is not getting a correct position signal from the motor, so it cannot drive it smoothly.

Likely causes

• Loose motor connector
• Damaged motor cable
• Faulty hall sensor in the motor

Symptoms

• 03 info flashes
• No assist, juddering motor

How to fix it

1. With the bike switched off, check the connectors between the display, controller and motor are clean, dry and pushed fully home.
2. Look for cable damage where it leaves the motor axle.
3. Do not open the motor.
4. If the code stays, take the bike to your dealer or an e-bike repair shop.
