What it means

Assist LED 2 blinking with the red error light means the SyncDrive motor has reported a problem. Assist stops on most motor events.

  • Motor fault
  • Connection problem

How to fix it

  1. Note which indicator is blinking (or the message shown).
  2. Switch the system off.
  3. Look for an obvious cause, such as a battery not fully clicked in.
  4. Fix it only if you can do so safely, then switch the system back on.
  5. If it is fixed, carry on and book a service check with a Giant dealer.
  6. If the issue keeps returning, stop riding and contact an authorised Giant dealer.
