TUNING: System tuning

Riders must not tune Yamaha systems.

What it does

Yamaha states that users must not try to tune the system, to avoid breaking rules and damaging the bike. Walk assist and always-on lights are set by the bike maker and cannot be changed by the rider.

Before you change it

EU/UK/AU/NZ pedelecs are limited to 25 km/h assist and 250 W; US classes to 20/28 mph. Raising limits can make the bike illegal on roads and void warranty/insurance.
