CLASS: Motor class

Switch between US e-bike classes.

What it does

Selects the motor class setting; the chosen class stays the default next time the bike is turned on. Class 3 is only offered on US bikes, and the RadExpand 5 Plus offers Class 1 and 2 only.

Before you change it

Legal: US e-bike classes are Class 1/2 (assist to 20 mph) and Class 3 (assist to 28 mph, throttle limited). EU/UK/AU/NZ pedelecs are limited to 25 km/h assist and 250 W. Raising the limit above what your local law allows can make the bike illegal on roads, paths and trails and can void your warranty and insurance.
