Bosch display setting

WHEEL-CIRC: Wheel circumference

Fine-tune the wheel size so speed and distance are accurate.

What it does

Classic Intuvia lets you change the factory value by up to plus or minus 5% (display must be in its holder). Kiox 300/500: Settings > My eBike > Wheel circumf., where it can also be reset to standard.

Typical values

  • Factory value +/- 5% (classic Intuvia)

Before you change it

  • Set it to match your actual tyre; a wrong value gives wrong speed and can make assistance cut out at the wrong speed.
  • Do not use this to raise the speed at which assistance stops; that is tuning and can make the bike illegal and void warranty. EU/UK/AU/NZ pedelecs are limited to 25 km/h assistance and 250 W; US classes are limited to 20 mph (Class 1/2) or 28 mph (Class 3). Raising limits can make the bike illegal on roads and void warranty and insurance.
  • Larger changes (e.g. new wheel size) are a dealer job.
