Ride with caution. Assistance may be switched off, but Bosch says you can always keep pedalling without the motor.
What it means
A component, usually the battery, could not be authenticated by the system.
Likely causes
- Battery not seated properly
- Non-genuine or unrecognised component
Symptoms
- Code 591 on the display
- No assistance
How to fix it
- Switch the eBike system off.
- Remove the battery and refit it.
- Switch the eBike system off, wait a few seconds, then switch it on again.
- If the code comes back, contact your Bosch eBike dealer.
