Stop riding. Stop and let the bike cool before riding with assist.
What it means
The bike shuts itself off when the controller or motor gets too hot, for example on a steep climb in summer heat with maximum assist.
Likely causes
- Steep climbs, heat and top assist
Symptoms
- E26 on the display
- Bike shuts off
How to fix it
- Stop riding straight away and turn the bike off.
- Let it cool for a few minutes, then turn it on.
- If E26 stays after cooling, or appears on flat roads, contact Aventon support.
